On 27th July 2020, GRIPE in collaboration with UNDP and other stakeholders on the Waste Recovery Platform launched a campaign dubbed the COVID-19 Waste Management Campaign. Messages for the campaign was shared via the major social media platforms, TV (TV3, Citi TV, GTV, Joy News, Adom TV ) and Radio (Joy FM, Adom FM, Uniiq FM, Citi Fm) and focused on;
- Projecting the important role of waste collectors and pickers in the COVID -19 response
- Mobilizing resources to provide PPEs for waste collectors and pickers.
- Creating awareness on the safe use and disposal of face masks, tissues in the midst of the COVID 19
- Creating awareness on the efficient management of waste in the midst of covid-19 and post-pandemic
